Last year I read a newspaper article (read it here if you fancy) about wine – clearly an important subject in any 20-somethings daily life!! It was a little distressing and, for a while, actually cut my wine consumption (don’t fret though…I went back to the cocktails and vodka & Redbull). If you don’t fancy reading the article it was basically saying that 2 glasses of wine a day can increase the risks of mouth / throat cancer by 75%.
Then…a few weeks back, in the same paper was this article. In short this article says that half a glass of wine a day can increase the same risk as above by 168% (I feel the odds are against us with the Telegraph – they clearly don’t have a wine sponsor!).
Now for the best news of all read this article…again, the shortened version, a glass of wine a day could decrease the risks of oesophageal cancer by 56%. OMG, can you believe this!?
Ok, so I just need to know…how can I get the wine to my oesophagus without actually drinking it??

Mmm, tricky, unless you invest in some sort of intravenous arrangement lol. Great blog made me smile (inbetween worrying) luv Karen
I’ve heard many things about drinking red wine – good and bad. I drink it anyways
I celebrated the 3rd article with 2 mojitos – didn’t want to push my luck with the wine before I got my IV paraphernalia (to avoid the throat whilst drinking!). x
