Introducing KPC (A.K.A Kung Pow Cow)

by Jen on August 18, 2009

I don’t know if you know this or not, some of you will, some of you undoubtedly wont.  In fact, most of you wont, and that isn’t because I’ve hidden it intentionally.  In fact, I did actually write about it in my very first blog post somewhere else, and I know some of you have followed from there.  So you might know.  I digress!

This is KPC (kung-pow cow)…

This young “gentleman” has been my boyfriend…I was going to list the other terms for “boyfriend”, until I remembered that I hate them all!  I’ve always thought that the likes of “partner” or “significant other” or “other / better half” make it sound like you have a same sex partner…He’s definitely a boy, and I’m definitely a girl….just saying…for nearly 6 years!!  (Ha, I’m a bad girlfriend!  I originally wrote “7 years” and then realised that would make me older than I am and so it must be less….so we’ll stick with “nearly 6 years” and if it’s wrong I’m bound to pay for it in the future!).

KPC puts up with a lot, you’ve all witnessed the ADHD / wondering mind first hand…but KPC actually gets this 24/7 in real life!  Yep, he’s a keeper for that!  Who else do you know with Raynaud’s that would take his girlfriend to play in the snow because no-one else would go??  He would do pretty much anything to make me smile – this goes above and beyond catalogue poses before bed (read: the mangina!).  He’s currently working 2 jobs to get us out of a fix and make life a bit easier.  He takes my crazy ideas (which constantly change) in his stride (the latest being me wanting to sew – in the process the dining room became a make-shift haberdashery…and not a tidy one!).  That lasted all of a day!  Not many boyfriends would get up at 4am so I could ask him to drive an hour away so we could watch the sun rise and I could take some photos…but leave the perfect spot before the sun rose because I got bored of waiting (yes, this really did happen!).  Mostly though he puts up with the hours and hours I spend on the internet and doesn’t even seem to mind – I’m pretty sure I slipped up though and he knows about COASK, but even if he does he hasn’t said / made a fuss.

As well as having been together, pretty much, forever (I’m glad I was a tearaway when I was younger!  I’d hate to be a couple with regrets!) we own our house together, a car together, we adopted a cat together (he technically adopted we have friends together, we do loooooooooooooooooooooads of stuff together, we’re like married people but not, we make decisions together (although, as a girl, I do generally get the deciding vote hehe), we work well together – I butter his sandwiches right to the edge of the bread and he fixes stuff!

We’re just us….and I think I kind of forgot to tell you that.

More on KPC coming soon (i’m sure you’re excited for that, haha!!)

(P.s Love you KPC!)

(P.P.S it’s Kung Pow Cow because he’s got a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, not just because it’s funny!)

Want more like this??

What on earth? The whole time you’ve been hiding the fact that you’re practically MARRIED from us? Hooker! :-)

Haha, I wouldn’t say “hiding” exactly. You know when you get an opportunity to say something and you don’t….then it just seems a bit awkward to say it because you didn’t when you should’ve and somehow it just doesn’t come out at all!? It is much like that! Haha
