I listen to a lot of music. I mean, I listed to more music than I watch TV…and maybe even more that I eat hot meals (but not more than I eat cupcakes!). I’m not a musical person. My mom sent me for piano lessons, violin lessons, guitar lessons, flute lessons and probably more that I can’t remember…but I just got bored and frustrated.
My voice definitely wasn’t made for singing (but I still try…when alone!). All the same I absolutely love music and wish our lives could have soundtracks. And I don’t mean that you pick your favourite songs that remind you of a certain time in your life. I mean I’d like to be walking down the street one rainy day and all of a sudden (Lou Reed’s) Perfect Day starts playing from nowhere. Or if I’m having an emotional day maybe someone should turn up Babe I’m Gonna Leave You (Led Zeppelin).
Anyhoo, people are always asking for album suggestions…but I’m not going to do that (haha)…instead I present you with some of my all time favourite songs (by no means my most favourite though).
